Brief Profile

Dr. Issam Hreirati’s 30 years of experience spans across well-known hospitals from Syria to the UAE; with Western trainings. Along with being the General Director of Damascus Hospital under the Ministry of Health (Syria), he has held many important positions at Ministry of Health, Syria and has contributed significantly towards Hospital Accreditation, Quality and Performance Improvement.

His clinical knowledge goes well beyond general surgeries, and he has an excellent and wide experience in advanced laparoscopic surgeries including Fundoplication (for the treatment of GERD), bariatric surgery, Heller myotomy (for the treatment of Achalasia), laparoscopic gastrectomy – subtotal and total, laparoscopic bowel resection, and laparoscopic colorectal surgery.

He has attended various seminars and workshops across the globe; along with being a speaker in some as well.
