What is a PCR Test?

A Covid-19 PCR test is used to detect the presence for infection with SARS-CoV2. This test that looks for the RNA of the virus using a technique called RT-PCR. The test can detect as little as one virus particle in swabs taken from inside the mouth or nose & is recognized as the most reliable test for Covid-19.

Drive Through PCR Testing

Steps for Drive Through Screening
  • Pre-register for your PCR test using FUH CARE app, this will reduce yours and other’s waiting time.
  • If you’ve not pre-registered, Kindly remain patient in the waiting line. Many people, just like yourself, have also come here for the purpose of testing. Allow us time to stay consistent with each testing.
  • Once it is your turn, kindly make the payment and register yourself. This is the most time-consuming step. It captures all of your important details.
  • You then drive into the testing tent. This is where your swab will be taken.
  • Your test results will arrive in 24 Hours through SMS and E-mail.

Walk-In PCR Screening Center

Steps for Walk In Screening
  • Arrive at Fakeeh University Hospital and park your car in the Basement level 1 at designated COVID Screening Center spots.
  • Walk to the COVID-19 Screening Center located at the Basement level 1, situated near Emergency Area
  • Follow the token and registration process.
  • Proceed towards sample collection area.
  • Your test results will arrive in 24 Hours through SMS and E-mail.
