Technology and Innovation

FUH pharmacy leverages the latest pharmacy automation technologies that aim to increase productivity, improve efficiency, enhance regulatory compliance, replace human errors, and improve patient safety. FUH houses one of the few pharmacies in the region that adopts the autonomous pharmacy framework across the medication management continuum.

Our outpatient pharmacy is fully automated and integrated with our Electronic Medical Records and Pharmacy Information System. Our pharmacy robot (Adam) helps our pharmacists be more patient-centric by reducing the waiting time at the pharmacy and gives pharmacists enough time to counsel and answer patients’ queries.

Our inpatient wards and pharmacy are interlinked with pneumatic tubes and equipped with automated dispensing cabinets, remotely controlled and managed by the pharmacy team, to ensure timely access and administration of medicine to the patients.

FUH Pharmacy Department assumes responsibility for the medication content within information systems and many of its clinical and decision support applications. Our department also maintains a robust data analytics infrastructure to ensure that decisions made throughout the year, regarding our strategic vision, are in a sensible and data-driven manner.
