BOOK AN APPOINTMENTDr. Rasha ElQaffas is an Interventional Breast Radiologist with advanced expertise in diagnostic and interventional breast imaging. She leads the Breast Imaging Service within a multidisciplinary breast unit, providing comprehensive breast imaging, minimally invasive image-guided breast interventions, and evidence-based breast cancer care.
Dr. ElQaffas holds the Arab Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology, the Arab Board Subspecialty Certificate in Breast Imaging, the Egyptian Board of Diagnostic Radiology, and a master’s degree in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology. She is a member of the European Society of Breast Imaging (EUSOBI), reflecting on her commitment to maintaining the highest international standards in breast imaging.
Her clinical expertise spans the full spectrum of breast imaging, including digital mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM), and breast MRI. She has extensive experience in advanced image-guided breast procedures, including ultrasound-guided, stereotactic, and MRI-guided breast biopsies, vacuum-assisted breast biopsy and excision (VAE), marker clip placement, and wire and magnetic seed (Magseed®) localization.
Dr. ElQaffas has a particular interest in early breast cancer detection, high-risk breast imaging, advanced breast MRI, imaging–pathology correlation, and the assessment of complex and challenging breast cases. She works closely with breast surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, and radiation oncologists to support accurate diagnosis, personalized treatment planning, and optimal patient outcomes through multidisciplinary breast cancer care.
