Brief Profile

Dr. Salem Ahmed Alkaabi is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and Head of the Department at Emirates Health Services. He chairs the Scientific Committee for Maxillofacial Surgery at the National Institute of Health Specialties (NIHS) in the UAE. Recognized as a leading orthognathic surgeon, Dr. Alkaabi specializes in facial corrective surgery, TMJ reconstruction, cleft care, and advanced 3D surgical planning.

He is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Surgeons (FDS RCS Glasgow) and the International College of Maxillofacial Surgery (ICMFS), and a Member of the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Faculty (MOMS RCS Edinburgh). Dr. Alkaabi earned his PhD in the Netherlands on regenerative alveolar cleft surgery.

Widely published in orthognathic and craniofacial surgery, he represents the UAE at international congresses and serves on the Arab Board of Medical Specialties. Dr. Alkaabi also leads OMFS residency program development and participates in scientific committees regionally and globally.
