Dr. Appou Tamijmarane is a highly skilled Consultant General Surgeon with over 34 years of experience in surgery, including 18 years in the UK as a consultant in general, Hepatobiliary-Pancreatic, and upper gastrointestinal surgery. Dr. Tamijmarane is renowned for his expertise in advanced laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgical techniques, as well as his significant contributions to cancer surgery and trauma care.
Dr. Appou’s surgical career spans prestigious institutions like JIPMER, India, Royal Free Hospital, London, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Birmingham, and Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh. He had previously been a consultant surgeon at the Raigmore Hospital, Inverness in Scotland for 18 years, where he led the surgical team and supported multidisciplinary diagnostic cancer management services. He has an excellent track record in terms of patient outcomes following complex major surgeries, a broad aspect of general surgery, cancer, and trauma surgery using innovative techniques and a bespoke approach.
